After a day off, the Cavs had a pretty focused practice today, in advance of game-3 in NJ...too bad LeBron can't include it in his bag of useable tricks, but he knocked down a 30-footer while sitting on the bench, as he was lacing on his shoes...and he did it on the 4th try!!
LB was voted to the all-NBA 2nd team after making the first five a year ago...there is no true small forward on the team, as Dirk Nowitzki, Tim Duncan and Amare Stoudemire comprise the first team front court, with Steve Nash and Kobe Bryant voted in as guards....LeBron blew it off, saying he doesn't worry about individual honors like these...he's just happy to be included among the top players in the game...and I believe him...his game says the same thing too...
His teammates all feel LeBron is a top-5 player, and acknowledge this could be perceived as a slight show of national respect...but Larry Hughes says the time to use this as a motivational tool is in the off season...now, it's all about playoffs and all the motivation comes from wanting to win a title...Mike Brown has all the respect in the world for the five who made first team, but added, while he may be biased when looking at LeBron, don't forget he and Oscar Robertson are the only two players in NBA history to average 26, 6 and 6, three years in a row...so, that speaks for itself...
