I think you'll see a more relaxed group of Wine and Golders tonight…the whole Finals experience is something you have to go through as a player…at least the first few days…then, you realize it is a basketball game, and stick to what got you here, which is why I think the Cavs will play much better…concentration becomes one of the major issues…attention to detail.
That slippage was exemplified by lack of block-outs on Spurs' missed free throws…they got offensive rebounds on 4 misses the other night, and converted them into 4 points.
Daniel Gibson seems so unaffected by all the hoopla, even with family here…his Mom, Dad, brother and two sisters…the only task Boobie had was trying to convince his 7 year-old nephew to get out of the hotel pool…5 hours of swimming was finally enough!!! Daniel was tired just watching him.
Scot Pollard is always the voice of practice itinerary…when it's time to watch film between media interviews and actual practice, Scot bellows…"Film…..I have my popcorn….let's go watch some film….finals….Cavs….Spurs.
And when it's time to leave the AT&T center…Pollard, again in his baritone voice yells…"time to go….the gym will still be here tonight…those rims aren't going anywhere…time to head on the bus."
I guess it's one of those things where you have to be there…it's the delivery, not the message itself that makes us chuckle.
