Back in the U.S.A.

We're back...and what a week...an 18 hour trip home went pretty smoothly, arriving back last night, 10:30 p.m. We beat the Magic home (ok...so, they had further to travel!!!)

But so many lifetime memories...

  • Seeing customs agents asking the guys for autographs.

  • LeBron, Bobbie and Shannon going 3-on-3 with Shanghai streetballers at the LBJ Museum opening.

  • Drew and Ira buying collapsible mini-bikes to bring home.

  • Taxi rides through Shanghai which defied description because of anything-goes-driving-and-walking-rules.

  • Strolling through their markets, where merchants literally grab you by the arm to get you into their store.

  • Waking up and watching the Tribe before for breakfast because of the time difference.

  • Learning Mandarin Chinese, then trying to forget the phrases because of the need for Cantonese Chinese in Macao

  • Awe inspiring casinos going up in that China-Vegas town like impatients in your front yard.

  • Helicopter and ferry rides to Honk Kong, one of the most amazing cities I have ever seen.

  • Riding the tram up a mountain in HK with some NBA referees who are just as likeable as you could imagine.

  • Sampling Chinese food, but searching for an American restaurant to inhale nachos, potato skins and hamburgers.

  • My wife took 512 pictures...that won't make just a photo album, we'll need binders.

It was a bonding experience for not only the players, but for the Cavs traveling party as well, enabling us to make wonderful friendships with partners, who are fans first, bleeding Wine and Gold.

But in the end, it's great to be back in the good old USA.
