First Practice is in the Books!

Welcome back to hoops...the first practice is in the books...it's amazing how much more can be accomplished in drill work with the brand new Cleveland Clinic Courts....four half courts as opposed to two make a huge difference...and I mean four FULL half courts if you forgive the dichotomy of terms...guys have so much more room to work...there is less down time, and thus the pace of the first workout was non stop.

The facility really is incredible, from the weight room to the hydro exercise area to all the amenities...all the guys shook their heads in amazement when talking about it.

LeBron's shot looks more compact to me...he was knocking down long-rangers effortlessly...his hours and hours of work with Chris Jent has paid off...LeBron is certain you fans will see a difference on the floor...King James also said he loved doing SNL and believe it or not did not feel nervous strolling out for the opening monologue...I was nervous for him!!! The guys seemed to like his solid gold skit the best.

Time to get back to practice...the first two-a-days start today.

Very exciting day with high hopes for a great season. Being on the West Coast, it's hard to stay completely in the loop. Were the 3 free agents on the floor today?

Hi Michael...Sasha and Andy are not in camp, because they remain unsigned...Dwayne Jones is here as a non roster invitee, meaning he is fighting for a spot...he looks bigger and stronger.

As for Sasha and Andy, absence creates opportunity...
for Boobie Gibson to get some starter's reps...for the Browns, Shannon and Devin to get more PT...and for Cedric Simmons, an opportunity once his ankle is fully healed.

All that being said the players want Sasha and Andy back, so does the organization...but it has to make good business sense for now and the future.

Mike come see us in Phx on the first game of the road trip.
