Cavs Prepare for Celts, With or Without Garnett

Kevin Garnett did indeed make the trip with the Celtics and was at shootaround this morning. He is not supposed to play this week due to his abdominal strain, but the Cavs will believe it when they see KG in street clothes. Mike Brown is preparing for the Celts as if the MVP candidate is playing. The worst thing he says that could happen would be to prepare for no Big Ticket, and then surprise!

The Celtics are still 2-1 without him in this stretch, with guys like Leon Powe and Kendrick Perekins picking up the inside slack. The Bostonians are the real deal because they defend - first in fewest points allowed, first in opponent’s field goal percentage, and first in opponent’s three point percentage. A rare trifecta!

LeBron has killed the Celtics the last 8 meetings going back to the beginning of the ’04-’05 season, averaging nearly 36 points a game over 8 meetings the C’s. His lowest scoring game is 31 points!

Keep in mind, this could be a 2nd round playoff match-up, so, sparks should be flying.

See you tonight at 6:30 on FSN.
