Newble a Hit Against Celts

Ira Newble was the center of attention following the win over the Celtics, not only because of his best scoring quarter (1st) and best scoring half of the season. But also because of the thunderous base line drive and dunk he threw in the face of the Bostonians to help close them out. Ira smiled when asked when was the last time he did that, "probably 3 years ago...heck, probably 5 years ago."

Ira looked like he had just come out of a 12 round bout in Vegas, with the cut under his right eye from the accidental elbow from Z. Of course Zydrunas apologized for cutting Ira (4 stitches), then added, but get out of my way (kidding of course).

I asked Ira if he had looked in the mirror yet and he said, "yep...I look like Frankenstein."

This was not the first time for his hockey type of facial cut. When Ira was 12 years old he needed sutures. Why? His sister threw a steak at him from across the table. Yes, a STEAK, not a STAKE. Specifically T-Bone! My guess is well done to cause a cut. Z's elbow was a rare one if you know what I mean.
